At one point New York State was the #1 producer of hops in the United States but with prohibition and friendlier climates in the Pacific Northwest this became a thing of the past. Freedom Hops, a hop farm in Freedom, New York is looking to help revive the industry here in New York by providing local hops to the craft beer industry.
